Bingeable Wine-Filled Shows

When you have spare time or maybe just looking for some “me time” getting lost in a good show is all you want. We’ve scoured the internet and our memories to create a list of wine-filled binge-worthy shows.

This list also includes movies, because sometimes you can’t dedicate hours to watching something. We’ve tried to include where the shows or films can be streamed, but some may be available on additional sites we did not include. We hope you find this list helpful and fun!

Brothers & Sisters

The Walker clan puts the fun in dysfunctional! My mom and I used to watch this together every Sunday night after Desperate Housewives. We both really enjoyed it, I mean how can you not love Sally Field?! Hop on over Hulu to enjoy this family’s shenanigans, almost all ending with a glass of wine.

Uncorked

I haven’t seen this yet, but from what I can glean from one whole Google search is it’s about a guy who decides to become a master sommelier instead of joining the family barbecue business, much to his father’s chagrin. I am absolutely adding this to my Netflix queue.

Cougar Town

I started watching this show when it premiered in 2009, and always really enjoyed it! I feel like they were good at laughing at themselves as the premise started with Courtney Cox’s character, Jules, being a “cougar” but come the second season they just decided to abandon that plot point. However, it’s a show full of love, love for friends, family, and wine! Cougar Town is available now on Hulu.

Sideways

To be honest, I have never seen Sideways. I was too young to watch it when it came out and haven’t really prioritized it, however I couldn’t exclude it from a list about wine-filled movies and shows! With all this free time I think I need to get on it. Sideways is available to buy or rent on iTunes, YouTube, Google Play or on Hulu with the Starz add-on.

Wine Country

This movie was so good! If I remember correctly it’s relatively based on a real life wine trip Amy Poehler and her friends took, many of the friends also being in this film. It’s a great movie about adult friendship all while being a good laugh.

The Wine Show

This is another show I have yet to see, but actors Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys, from Brothers & Sisters, travel to different vineyards to try wine and speak with experts in the field. Catch it on Hulu now.

Scandal

So I haven’t watched Scandal either, but I included it here one, because I know a lot of people enjoy it, and two, because many people have sought out the wine glasses Olivia Pope uses in the show. Plus when I Googled “Scandal wine” a ton of photos of people drinking wine popped up. Watch in now on Netflix.

Big Little Lies

I am still working on the second season, but I have really enjoyed this show. I feel like it’s kind of slow at first, but with this amazing cast it’s chockfull of talent. I’m looking forward to finishing this season and get deeper into the antics of these wine-drinking ladies from Monterey.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

I have not seen the original but thoroughly enjoyed Mindy Kaling’s adaptation. I love everything she does though. The reason I am including it here is because, well I liked the show and hope you do too, but also because I really liked the wine glasses they used and unsuccessfully tried to track the down.

Fleabag

Fleabag is a wonderfully fast-paced British TV show, which manages to be very funny while also having heartbreakingly sad moments. Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s titular character, Fleabag, is supremely sarcastic, loving, and incredibly flawed. Plus she likes a good drink. There are two seasons available on Amazon Prime Video. I personally loved this show and wish there were more seasons.

Will & Grace

Will & Grace is a classic! My mom suggested it for this list, and at first I said, “I don’t know if it really has anything to do with wine,” but then I remembered Karen Walker, so here it is! I have watched this show for such a long time and it’s a great option for a quick laugh, plus it currently has over 240 episodes so it’s perfect for binge watching! Find it on Hulu or the NBC website.

30 Rock

I haven’t seen 30 Rock in it’s entirety, but I did watch it for a bit in college and thought it was funny and the characters were quick witted. When I was researching for this post 30 Rock kept popping up because of Liz Lemon’s white wine based “funky juice.” I don’t remember this, but it was enough for me to add it, plus there is a decent number of episodes, and we could all use a laugh right now.

Bridesmaids

Okay, so Bridesmaids isn’t really “bingeable,” seeing as how it’s a movie, but none the less a fabulously entertaining film filled with funny women. Plus the Kristen Wiig wine drinking meme is my current daily mood.

Bottle Shock

According to Google, Alan Rickman plays Steven Spurrier, a Paris-based wine expert who travels to California looking for cheap booze. After stumbling upon a local winery he is “shocked” by their excellent chardonnay and decides he’s going to take it back to Paris with him. If you can’t tell I haven’t seen this movie, but it’s about wine and has Alan Rickman in it, and I will always love Alan Rickman! So if you’re in the mood for some wine and Professor Snape watch Bottle Shock on YouTube. Let us know how it is!

Grace and Frankie

I am having to write this one for Madi as this show is a little old for her. This is one of my favorite shows on Netflix. I am a huge fan of Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. Grace and Frankie find themselves starting their lives over with a little help from wine, martinis and “medicinal substances” after learning their husbands are leaving them to be with each other.

Sex and the City

So Cosmopolitans are famously the drink of choice for Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda but we’re not discriminating. Plus SATC has tons of episodes available for binge watching on HBO. Plus they have two glam-filled movies as well.

Step Brothers

To me, Step Brothers isn’t necessarily a “wine movie” but then I remembered “the f-ing Catalina Wine Mixer” being a huge part of it and had to add them to the list. I’ve only seen it once, and that was probably ten years ago, but I feel like it could be a good movie to watch this weekend after ordering delivery. Head over to Netflix to watch it.

Honorable Coffee Mention:

Gilmore Girls

We are called coffee.water.wine after all, so it only seemed appropriate to mention this super bingeable, coffee-filled show! Gilmore Girls has tons of episodes available for streaming on Netflix. Not to mention I think coffee is helping a lot of us power through right now.

We hope you found something new to watch or maybe remembered an old favorite. Comment below to share which wine-filled show or movie you like best! We’d love to add some new ones to our queue!
